A Gator at the Church
A member of our church has been doing renovations in the pastorium at the Methodist Church next door for the past couple of weeks. Last night, while gathering his tools together to stop for the evening, he happened to look out across the parking lot and notice something crawling. Upon closer observation, he realized it was a three foot alligator. He managed to corner it into an area that he could close off and then called the local wildlife management. They arrived promptly and carried the gator off to a safe location. All of this was taking place around the time Kate and the girls were walking home from Wednesday Night Bible Study. I am not sure where the alligator came from since there is not an area of standing water anywhere in the vacinity of our house. Needless to say, I may be a little more cautious when letting the girls run ahead of me to and from our way to church. I hope to be able to post some pictures of the critter once I get a copy of them.
